Reply-To: [email protected] How do you pronounce this IDE? Do you say the 3 letters *S* *P* *E* or do you say "Speee" ? Also, is SPE exclusivley focused on wx? What about GTK+ support like (GTK)Glade? Is that just a matter of writing a different plugin? Does SPE IDE look same as it would possibly look if made with 100% GTK? Thanks! Just like you want. SPE is latin for hope. > > Also, is SPE exclusivley focused on wx? Yes. > What about GTK+ support like (GTK)Glade? Is that > just a matter of writing a different plugin? No, unfortunately there is no code seperation between the GUI and the core. > Does SPE IDE look same as it would possibly look > if made with 100% GTK? No idea. I wouldn't know how it could be different. In general, are IDEs complicated beasts relative to other apps like web servers, OSes, email apps? Is it all Python? (Even though I have a PhD in physics I still need patience to learn other peoples' code. ) Chris --__--__-- Message: 4 Date: Wed, 28 Jun 2006 21:26:52 +0200 From: "SPE Stani's Python Editor" <[email protected]> To: python-spe-users-tdrK/[email protected] Subject: Re: [spe-users] Easy for someone to help with SPE development? :) Reply-To: [email protected] SPE is 100% Python, so it shouldn't be too difficult, depending on what you want to do. The best starting point is to pick a bug from the tracker and try to fix it with my support.
