Sorry, I have no idea.

Some suggestions:
- Do you run SPE as a single instance application
(preferences>general)? If yes, try to disable it.
- Can you run the wxpython demo and see if you have similar warnings?
If yes, it is a wxPython issue and not a SPE issue.
- Does this make SPE unusable?

Maybe someone with more Linux knowledge can give us more insight.
