I could quickly think of the following possibilities causing the error:
- The tool bitmap doesn't exist, so does the following file exist on
your hard disk: skins/default/filenew.png?
- There is a problem to locate the tool bitmap. So please cd to the
"_spe" directory and start "python SPE.py --debug"
- Something went wrong with the png handling in your wxPython
installation. Please check if you can display png images in the
wxPython demo and check if the toolbar demo works for you.
