Hi Jonathan I've found a bit of the problem i think for some reason that i can't figure spyce2.2 does not seem to be using the root as specified in the config.py I generated a new project (spyceProject.py) and found that i was getting the same error message as before The static.spy error is actually been generated by spyce2.2/www/ index.spy which contains ---- [[.import name=include]] [[.include file="/inc/static.spi"]] --- The curious thing is that i usually "test" the new installation by first running spyceCmd.py -l I'm puzzled why this did not give the any problems since the static include is there in index.spy???? Ok so i removed this and now i can see the spyce2.2/www/index.spy But still spyce was not obeying root in config.py Now the server says that it is using config.py i also print out root in the config.py and it says the right thing I've tried messing with the root in spyceconf.py but i've not been able to change things Later Chris On 29 Jun 2007, at 11:07, Jonathan Ellis wrote: > static includes were deprecated in 2.0 and removed in 2.2. > > not sure why directory browsing doesn't work. > > On Fri, 29 Jun 2007 09:49:11 -0400, "Christopher Clarke" > <cclarke-wYfHrJ5eQDBWk0Htik3J/[email protected]> said: >> Well i think that there was a bug in 2.1 re appending to global tags >> I've had to place my login custom logging stuff in render.spi >> >> But now I'm checking out some stuff in spyce2.2 using an actual >> project >> I notice that quite a few things are broken or at least working >> differently? >> I keep getting >> spyce syntax error at index.spy:49 - unable to open included file: / >> home/cclarke/smw/www/inc/static.spi >> include file="/inc/static.spi" >> This file works perfectly in 2.2 >> Maybe something with the parent.spi?? since i don't have any >> static.inc >> Also i noticed i can't browse the directory even when i set >> indexExtensions = [] >> I'm thinking that i'll stick with the 2.1 branch?? >> Regards >> Chris >> >> On 29 Jun 2007, at 09:27, Jonathan Ellis wrote: >> >>> I really haven't had time to clean up the loose ends. >>> >>> What parts were you looking forward to in particular? >>> >>> On Fri, 29 Jun 2007 09:11:27 -0400, "Christopher Clarke" >>> <cclarke-wYfHrJ5eQDBWk0Htik3J/[email protected]> said: >>>> Hi All >>>> Jonathan what's the status of the 2.2 >>>> Is it near production status?? >>>> Regards >>>> Chris >> ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
