Hi
Yea it seems that there is a bug in 2.1 so that login_render can only be in
render.spi.
The last time i checked  2.2 svn had corrected this but there were other
problems and 2.2 is not ready for production use??
My strategy is to maintain custom version of render.spi in my project and
"patch" the production version of spyce as required

I prefer not to use the parent.spi for headers and footers since i've got my
login tags in the parent.spi
also i don't like login screens with anything much else than the login form
and maybe a logo.
