I've verified on a different machine that the 2.1 Spyce server (with
minthreads=maxthreads=maxqueuesize=1) only occupies a couple or so
MB more than the 2.0.3 one based on "Mem:" numbers in 'top'.
However VSZ is much bigger, so I guess this may have something to do
with the OS or Python having to allocate more VM pages when starting up
2.1? Perhaps it's time to try out Xen-based hosting which seems
to have swap space allocations instead of OpenVZ-based ones...
Here are the numbers I'm getting on a different machine:
