newbie trying to get spyce, mod_ptyhon and apache to work

Hi there,
I am new to python, mod_python and spyce and need some help figuring out 
what I have done wrong. I have installed and configured the relevant 
packages in Suse 10.1 but when I try to view a .spy file in my browser 
it displays the code as text. Also, despite the fact that this is 
slightly unrelated, my mptest.py file is now failing with a syntax 
error. I don't know if anyone here can help me but any advice would be 
gratefully received.
