trying to get sybase to work with a python script

I am trying to get sybase to work with a python script. I am getting this
error:

ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/sybasect.so: undefined symbol:
cs_dt_info

I thought maybe someone may have ran into this before...any ideas on how to
fix it?
