Works immediately and a lot easier than using ldconfig.

I am still stuck with what seems to be an Sybase error though:

Try running 

    python setup.py build_ext --help

There is a --rpath flag you can give when building extensions.  I think
something like

    python setup.py clean -a
    python setup.py build_ext --rpath=$SYBASE_OCS/lib
    python setup.py install

would probably do the trick.
