Also consider other kinds of invalid input:

 >>> score = float(input("Enter Score: "))
Enter Score: A+
Traceback (most recent call last):
   File "<input>", line 1, in <module>
     score = float(input("Enter Score: "))
              ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
ValueError: could not convert string to float: 'A+'
