(many of us) got a flood of messages recently when a user asked if it 
was a good place to ask questions, so it's working - all but the first 
were us pinging back and forth. The original poster never returned. 
That's the first in a long time. So as to "active" - not really.  It's 
probably gone the way Stack Overflow is going: you get quicker answers 
from AI, why bother with a mailing lists?
