Nifti-Images (NiBabel) in vPython?

Hi there,

I am very new to vPython and have the following question:
Would it be possible somehow to three-dimensionally display Nifti-Images via NiBabel in 3D using vPython? Nifti is a 3d-file type we use in Neuroscience.
Where would I start? Is there some way to extract 3D-Information from external files in vPython at all?
