Same problem on Linux. My commands were pretty close to this:

mkdir Webware
cd Webware
svn checkout svn://svn.w4py.org/Webware/trunk
cd trunk
./install.py
cd ..
trunk/bin/MakeAppWorkDir.py --context-name=MyContext
--context-dir=/home/echuck/Webware/TestContext
--library=/home/echuck/Webware/TestLib TestAppWorkDir
cd TestAppWorkDir
# edit Configs/AppServer.config and
   * disable the adapter
   * change the HTTP port to 8082
./AppServer

Then I browsed to the site and got the same results: Examples is
hosed, but other directories work fine.
