I tried to get several CE fixes into upstream Python around 1 year ago. Due=

Note that with 2.5 or 2.6 Python officially dropped MS win9x from the =

supported platforms. That means that using e.g. WCHAR paths throughout the =

win32 code would be feasible, which CE would benefit from since it only =

supports that. The last ports I saw still tried to emulate CreateFileA and =

similar APIs, causing lots of overhead and patches that in the end are hard =

to get upstream to accept.

I would be interested and try to help, but I don't think I will be able to =

invest too much time in porting and maintaining.
