Any bugs here are going to be inside the COM objects exposed by itunes - which doesn't sound particularly surprising given COM doesn't even exist on the platforms they own. It would be like saying that if you can provoke Word to create a corrupt document via COM that it would be a pywin32 bug - it would not - and stranger things have happened with many different COM interfaces over the years.
