Yes, it has 8 columns with explicit column titles.

It seems that the grid sizer at the top overrides the width of the
grid in the sizer below it.  (Originally I had the grid at the bottom
directly in the main frame's top level sizer but I've moved it into a
box sizer of its own, made no difference).

If I set the hgap for the grid sizer then it spreads it out and makes
the window wide enoough for the grid at the bottom but surely it
should be possible to make the window size itself to the widest
element in the frame rather than the first element which is what it
appears to do at the moment.

Maybe this is a wxwidgets issue rather than a wxglade one, I don't
know.
