Hi Dietmar,

from my experience discussions about standard tools are a dispute about
nothing. I won't contribute to such discussions.

Let me respond to your feedback regarding wxGlade.

a) your suggestion to drop the sizer in some cases
It's a design principal of wxGlade to place all widgets in sizers. A
rework to drop not needed sizers resp. to add sizers on demand would
require lots of effort.

b) old-style look and feel
Currently I think about changing the icon set to modern ones like Tango.
Probably I'll improve and reorder the widget icons too.

c) drag and drop
You are right drap and drop icons from the palette to design window as
well as inside the tree window would be really user friendly.

d) User code in event handlers
The current suggestion is not to add own code to the design. You should
use a derived class and add all logic to this class.

e) A single-frame window
It would be nice, but the priority is low currently

f) Support of Phoenix, Python 3
A future version of wxGalde will Phoenix and later also Python 3.

The wxGalde development is a one-man-show currently. Thereby
contributions are really welcome.

Thank you for your feedback!

Regards,
Carsten
