P.S.: You can use relative path names in wxGlade. Does Pyinstaller set 
the current working directory to the temp directory? In that case, the 
relative name should work. If not, you may try to set the working 
directory in your code.

The code that wxGlade uses, just loads a bitmap using 
wx.Bitmap(filename). Does MacOS implicitely expand environment variables 
in filename strings?
