Re: wxGlade tutorial

Here are some comments on page 1 of the new tutorial (nothing earth 
shattering):

Main Palette window:
This is the main window with the main window.
There is an icon for each window and control type that can be added to a 
project.

Not sure what is meant by "This is the main window with the main 
window".  Is the word "menu" perhaps missing?

TEXT
Tree window:
This window visualizes and allows to edit the structure of the project 
with it’s application, windows, sizers and controls.
On selection of an item, it’s properties will be shown in the Properties 
window.

The text, "allows to edit" would be better as "allows editing of". The 
original, whilst clear, is not really correct English and sounds odd to 
a fluent speaker.

Properties window:
This allows to display and edit properties of applications, windows and 
controls.
To edit an item, select it in the Tree or Design window.

Similarly, the use of infinitives in the line "This allows to 
display..." is not correct.  English speakers tend to use gerunds in 
these cases.  So: "This allows the displaying and editing of the 
properties of applications, windows and controls".  An alternative way 
to do it would be to use the impersonal 'you': "This lets you display 
and edit the properties of applications, windows and controls".  I think 
I prefer this latter.

Notice also the use of the definite article before "properties".  I 
think it makes things slightly clearer.

TEXT
Preview window
A preview of the current window; should be 100% identical to the window 
as when it is used later on.

The phrase "identical to the window as when it is used later on." would 
probably sound better as, "identical to the window as used later on." or 
"identical to the window when it is used in the application."

By the way, I'm unsure about the use of semicolons in this text.  I 
would prefer colons or even full stops even without a finite verb. 
Semicolons are rare in written English and readers are often not sure 
how to react to them.  Most people get by with just commas (short pause) 
and full stops (long pause). :)
