Yes, thanks, I will do so.
Maybe you can insert a print("Display", d, client_area, geometry) and
post the result. This way it might be possible to find a workaround for
your system.
On my PC (Windows, Python 3), the result looks like this:
Display 0 (0, 0, 2560, 1600) (-7, 4, 394, 454)
(First, run with the limited number of cycles, set the windows as you
want them. Then exit via the menu, run again and post the result.)
