So is it possible to have an app with two buttons and not have any of
them highlighted?  (or even just one button with no highlight?).

I think my issue was that the Preview window highlighted the button,
even though my textctrl was selected with the Focus (focus checkbox
ticked) and the button was not (focus checkbox not ticked).  The app
looks correct when compiled and run, but the wxglade Preview did not
match that (i.e. the button as highlighted).

If the Preview window is supposed to reflect what the executed
application is supposed to look like when run (as much as possible),
then there is a discrepancy.

I will revisit it and check again, probably with a simplified test app.

Brendan.
