Hi! Currently I'm working on better support for Dialog Units (GitHub Issue #357 <https://github.com/wxGlade/wxGlade/issues/357>): - specify sizes like "80dx, 80dx" to have a square size, as "80, 80d" usually is a rectangle - specify border size in dialog units (either x or y) - specify spacer size in dialog units I have never used Dialog Units myself and there are no examples on the web. Are there people on the list who have practical experience with Dialog Units? I would like to hear how you are using these. On which platforms are you using them and how do you actually scale your windows? At the moment wxGlade generates code like this: self.button_1.SetMinSize(wx.DLG_UNIT(self.button_1, wx.Size(88, 26))) I'm wondering what's the best argument to wx.DLG_UNIT: - the widget (as now), - the parent or - the toplevel parent? For a sizer, the containing widget must be used anyway. Currently, there's no way to supply a font as argument to e.g. a frame. This probably should be changed, as setting the font afterwards does not influence such sizes any more. If elements within a frame or dialog have their own fonts / font sizes defined, these will not be touched if the toplevel element's font is changed, so using Dialog Units would only work if they are calculated based on the toplevel parent or maybe if font sizes are defined in Dialog Units as well.
