I would rather think that this is a wxPython bug. When you use Python 
2.7, the wxPython version is probably also rather old.

Anyway, the 0.9.x series will see only fixes for critical bugs, not for 
cosmetic ones.

Please try the current version from the master branch and / or more 
recent wxPython/Python versions.
