I changed the line ending in the file to /r/n and wxGlade now places the
generated code into the file, so that hurdle is cleared.

What should you do in your code? I did try changing the line termination in
my IDE, PyCharm, and in the text editor I use sometimes, Notepad++.  They
will happily edit files with either CR, LF or CRLF line endings. Windows
Notepad will edit files with any of those line endings too but it
recognizes only CRLF as being an EOL when displaying the text. So it seems
that the OS does not matter but that the text editor does.

So, you could accept any of those or leave your EOL detection unchanged and
make a note in case anybody complains about this in the future, since it
doesn't seem to be a common problem.

With that settled I now get a warning pop-up after generation:

I will look into this tomorrow but I don't understand what wxGlade is
looking for in this case. I didn't see any metadata comments indicating
event handlers in the other generated classes.
