That links to classic 2.8 docs which are rather old.
If you are using Phoenix, then reference the new docs found here:
http://wxpython.org/Phoenix/docs/html/main.html
The new docs are easily maintainable compared to the old docs which are 
not, and probably will never get updated because of the amount of work 
involved.
