Since is my first post here, let me thank you all for these marvelous code framework. A big THANK YOU (with Robin on top of the list ;). I am a Software Tester (who like to program, or is it the other way around? A software developer who likes to test?) :D. Well, I only knew about wxPython, because I had to install Robot Framework's IDE (RIDE) (https://github.com/robotframework/RIDE) which is the best editor I know of for Tests and designed for Testers. So, I decided to contribute with improvements to RIDE, and for long time it stayed only being supported for wxPython 2.8.12.1 (Linux and Windows) and 2.9.5 at Mac OS. Well, then I asked myself, why not try to port to wxPython 3? There were already attempts to do that, but they give up (also for lack of sponsorship and manpower). And now the RF already runs in Python 3. And I (and others) don't want to loose (the) RIDE, so I keep on going to port first to wxPhoenix, and finally to Python 3.4 (yeah I see you are already talking about 3.5 ;) ). And how about having wxPhoenix tested with Robot Framework (that would be an excellent Testers challenge, and the best proof of concept for testing automation)? And how about finding people who have an hobby (like me) of coding with wxPython? That is why I am posting here. I would like to have more people looking at RIDE's code and helping us to have it fully ported and in a single official master branch. Right know I have it working for Windows, Linux and MacOS, for the standard version of wxPython 2.8.12.1 (with a minor bug under chasing) and lower versions, but also in wxPython 3.0.2 (some known bugs), and it already runs in wxPhoenix (in Windows and Linux) but with a lot of bugs (only got it working today in Linux ;) ). So, if I convinced some of you to look ate the project, please fork, download or install from https://github.com/HelioGuilherme66/RIDE/tree/wxPhoenix (Please leave the official project free from Issues about this fork or versions). Thank you all, And keep coding portable multi-platform applications. Hélio Guilherme (from Portugal) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "wxPython-dev" group.
