I'm not sure whether my Fedora 24 pyInstaller-compiled wxPython program will run and work identically on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. So I thought of preparing for the need to compile my program on Ubuntu too. But from further research, I think both distros use glibc 2.23, so perhaps I won't need to recompile on Ubuntu. In the public interest, it is a good idea to have an Ubuntu package ready with the patch.
