wxpython app as an Ubuntu 'Snap'

Has anyone successfully packaged a wxpython app as a self contained Ubuntu 'Snap' https://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/snappy ?

If there was a worked out recipe for doing this then developers could easily make their wxpython apps available via the Ubuntu App Store.
Arguably an exciting time for wxpython developers could be on the horizon.

I suspect the process might require building wxpython from source etc. which I've never tried.
I've always wanted to get my app into the ubuntu App Store but have lacked the arcane packaging knowledge to do so. Hopefully Snaps, which don't have any dependencies and come completely self contained are now the answer!
Any advice would be appreciated.
