Using the name Phoenix has been useful to distinguish the new work in progress from the still-official Classic but as time goes by, post-release, the name will be less and less relevant. So I don't see much point in preserving it in *WxPython_Phoenix*. The problem with keeping the name *WxPython* is that Googling for it at the moment brings up a pageful of links to the Classic version and, while this will gradually change as Phoenix predominates, there will likely be a mixture of both for the foreseeable future to confuse newcomers. *wx* is indeed short and to the point but it isn't obviously a Python package outside of PyPI - so in the noble tradition of British compromise, how about *wxPy*?
