My suggestion is to call the package on PIP wxPython3, with an additional 3 that would be separate from the version number that corresponds to wxWidgets. My reasoning for this is that it seems to be a standard convention in multiple Linux distros for naming packages. For example, Python 2 is "python", and Python 3 is "python3". PyQt 4 is "pyqt", and PyQt 5 is "pyqt5". Since wxPython Classic is "wxpython", perhaps Phoenix could be "wxpython3"? One thing that could be weird is that if Phoenix eventually uses wxWidgets 4, the package would become "wxpython3-4.x", which will never happen with Python 3 and probably not with PyQt 5 either. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "wxPython-dev" group.
