AUI documentation

All,

I have been programming in Python for 15+ years and have used wx on several 
projects.  I would like to develop some better documentation for the AUI - 
I find it difficult to use at present, and I think some better docs would 
help.  I have a few questions before I get serious about this:

(1) Is anyone currently working on AUI documentation?

(2) Are there any books currently published that treat the AUI?

(3) There is a pure python implementation of the AUI manager and there is 
another implementation in wxWidgets.  How do they compare?  Is one 
considered an offical (or reference) implementation?

(4) The AUI demo does not run on Windows 10 (wxPython 4.0.3).  Line 43 
(AUI_DockingWindowMgr.py) fails with an Unsupported operand type error: 
ID_FirstPerspective = ID_CreatePerspective+1000.  Is there a fix for this?
