app changed look after updating to wxpython 4.0.6

Hi, I run a wxpython app from wxpython installed with Anaconda on Linux 
Mint 19.2 Cinnamon.
See the app to the left in the screenshot (wikidpad) vs the one to the 
right (xed).
The app to the left looks different from the normal theme (right).

How can I fix this?
