Do you understand that’s NOT the “Gnome Shell” menu?  That’s your application’s menu.  Gnome just happens to display it at the top of the screen, something they borrowed from MacOS that I dislike.

All of this is in your application’s control.  What action do you take when the Quit menu item is picked?
