WXGlade: Adding a Menu

Hi everyone, Sorry if the question is not appropriate there. I finally started playing with WXGlade and like it very much, so far so good. However I have a question. I'm totally blind and use a screen reader, so please bear with me if the question is stupid and the answer is obvious visually. How do you add a menu to a menu bar? I.e., I add a menu bar, then there is an Edit Menus... button. If I click it, I can only add and edit _menu items_. When I generate the code afterwards, all of these items fall into a wxg_temp_menu submenu. So, my question is: How to add File, Edit, View top menus?
