Hmm -- I just found this:

Which seems to be 4.1.2, and it's Robin's project

Not sure why it's a separate project, nor why there doesn't appear to be a
release on gitHub, but it does look like promising progress -- only a
couple weeks old now.

@Robin: anything we can do to help? (for example, conda-forge supports
"development" builds, so we could get that started for some testing.
