looks like you broken installation (the libinstall target hasn't been updated);
from comp.lang.python:

    gregory@home:~$ python

(works under trunk, but not after installation)

you also broke my subversion:

(but that's probably not your fault).

has anyone seen this error?  any ideas on how to fix it?
