The front end designs are similar to openeeg. Therefore the performance is  
similar. The dynamic range is greater with the 16-bit sound card 
digitization.  The advantage of the openeeg is that you can buy it pre-assembled or in 
kit  form. The scEEG has to be built on a breadboard.
