EEG-SMT on Mac OSX: usb VCP ?

Thank you to Richard Windsor and Philip Marx for the details of the FTDIchip.com link. The driver does not work actually. Download and installation is not a problem, the software does see the VCP but no signal is coming. It bugs the system (Snow Leopard on iMac) as well. I think there is version issue ; originally it was developed for the PowerPC ; but I wonder if the current version is working for a USB "com" with the ATmega16 or Atmel® AVR® 8-bit of EEG-SMT from Olimex with an Mac OS X 10.6.8 ? Anyway, did anyone ever succeed in properly sending a signal from the USB cable of Olimex's EEG-SMT to a Snow Leopard? and if so, how what driver + settings were used?
