Well I am sorry that no one answered your question in, for you, suitable
time frame.

You are also missing MY point.  My point is this, I am quite happy to have
to wait a bit longer and go through a bit of a schlep in ordering, if that
means saving a packet of money.  For I don't have a money tree in my
backyard.

I agree that your Paypal experience is a bit silly, but Olimex must have
there reasons.  As I said elsewhere, they are not a product house, there
core business is blank PCB manufacture.

In general, I have a very dim view of this "alternative health products"
market.  Here I am not really talking EEG amps, but all these other
electric gizmos such as GSR/SCL, AVE, TENS, CES, HRV, Rife and similar
health "promoting" devices.  Don't misunderstand me.  I am not commenting
on the usefulness, effectiveness or otherwise, of such devices.  I am
talking about the MARKETING.  So many products are advertised and wild
claims are made.  Some spin doctor then writes some mambo-jumbo which I, as
an electronic engineer, can't even understand.  A rip-off price is then
charged and they don't even show a PICTURE of the product, much less a
proper spec sheet.  They want me to buy the proverbial cat-in-the-bag, just
based on their mambo-jumbo.  I don't think so.  And often, the more
expensive the product, the worse it gets.  EEG amps are a bit of an
exception, through.

A case in point is the Roshi.  Just the other day Chuck pissed me off by
sending his absolute SPAM to this very forum.  Every 2 or 3 months he spams
all the yahoo forums, BioExplorer, Biofeedback, etc.  The only one he can't
get through is Braintrainer, because Pete has blocked his spam.   There was
this EEG incorporated Roshi and then this AVE-only Roshi.  I think the
current Roshi is this AVE-only device.  I like to be informed about these
things.  A picture (of the product) would be a good starting point.  A
decent web-page discussing the product.  But no, an astronomical price,
mumbo jumbo, smoke and mirrors, and spam, spam, spam.  Well it might work
for the technosaurs of the world Chuck, if you are reading this.  It
doesn't impress me.  With your attitude Chuck, you might as well join a
pharmaceutical company and sell pills.  You will be in good company there!

The SMT-EEG product is supplied with pictures not only of the outside, but
inside shots.  The full schematic diagram is supplied with all component
values given.  I know EXACTLY what I am buying.  If this is information
overload for someone, if someone hasn't got the technical insight to judge
it on those merits, well tough!  At least appreciate this "openness", such
a manufacturer has.  Consider it a real fresh breeze in this world of
IC-part-number-ground-off mentality of the QDS products. Or worse, this
sealed-for-life, don't -you-poke-your-nose-under-the-hood,
no-user-servicable-parts-inside of the damn motor industry.

So Greg - "absurd. No thanks."  Well then you better cancel that order and
get your paypal refund.

If anyone wondered, I don't have any connection with Olimex.  I am critical
of products.  I praise if something is praise-worthy.  I rip to shreds, if
it is not.  Stuff politeness and political correctness in this disingenuous
world.
