openeeg for GSR?

Hi all,
I'd like to know if there's anyone who is using openeeg/olimex for GSR
(Galvanic Skin Response).
More specifically I'd like to know how to use the DRL for recording
biopotentials (GSR-like) along with the electrode(s).

If anyone has alternative solutions to openeeg I'm eager to know, as
long as it's comparatively affordable and usable (arduino-based solution
is preferred).

I'm using Modular EEG amplifier 1.1.0 and the digital converter
then I have a SERIAL to USB adapter (ATEN UC-232A)

I'm reading and parsing the serial data stream with Max/MSP according to
the P2 protocol
I seem to get the right (17 bytes) data structure with the first two
bytes set at A5 and 5A (hex)

The data from the two (eeg-like silver) electrodes' channels (bytes 5+6
and 7+8) still look weird and noisy

I'm converting the two bytes into one value following the method
e.g.
high byte = 0xCD
low byte = 0xAB
converted word = 0xCD * 256 + 0xAB

Is this procedure correct?

Thank you very much in advance.
