Hi Alessandro,

Their website suggests that everything is still on sale. Where did your
information come from?

They do say they will be on holiday though from August 3rd - 18th, so will
not be shipping between those dates.

You could get another PCB manufacturer to make the boards, but it would be
more expensive and possibly prone to error. The Olimex ones are known to be
good.

Also, you say you have no hardware experience, so I would recommend strongly
that you buy the pre-assembled and tested boards form Olimex. I have a lot
of hardware assembly experience but I still bought the readymade boards, it
saved a LOT of work (parts sourcing, assembly, programming, testing). You
would also need a programming cable and software...

Good luck & Regards

Paddy

Subject: [Openeeg-list] Introducing myself / Where to buy PCBs?

Hello there,

My name is Alessandro, I am 24, I live in the United Kingdom and I have
absolutely no idea is someone is interested in these information.

I joined this mailing list because I really would like to build my own EEG
machine (I am a MSc student, my major is computational neuroscience).
Unfortunately I have no experience with hardware. My first question at the
moment regard where to buy my PCB. I know Olimex is listed as suggested
shop, but apparently they stopped selling PCBs at the moment. So, my
question is: sending the specs (ModularEEG BOM v1.1 EU) of the PCB to
another shop would do the job as well?

My kind regards to all of you,
Alessandro
