Spectrograms!

Hi All,

I love spectrograms as a technique for simultaneously viewing the time *and* frequency content of EEG signals.  While a number of packaged EEG programs include spectrograms, I've had difficulty finding open-source code for implementing them.  So, I did it myself.

Because I've been using Processing for my GUIs, I wrote my spectrogram in Processing (which is Java).  It works in real-time, so you can watch the spectrogram as you are recording the your EEG data.  It's fun!

Currently, my GUI only receives data from OpenBCI.  I do understand the OpenEEG P2 serial data format, though, so I'm thinking about adding an OpenEEG reader to my GUI.  Then I could use either EEG system, which would be cool.  And, if I got it to work with OpenEEG, my code would be available to OpenEEG users who might be interested in making their own GUI (instead of using BrainBay or whatever).

Has anyone else coded up their own spectrogram plots?  What kind of EEG signals have you found most interesting when viewed via a spectrogram.
