Would any of the simple ECG or EMG circuits work for easily determining if someone was flaring their nose, pursing lips, smirk, etc? I don't need all at the same time, just one. I've tried the Epoc Emotiv device and all it did was give me a pressure point headache and a sore jaw. I couldn't get any of the expressive detection to work reliably. Only smile, but with biting my teeth...sore jaw... Tried to play angry birds and I got angry. : ) If I had ONE, or two if possible, on/off detectable event then I could combine that with a 3 axis accelerometer and gyro to get the inputs that I need. I'm trying to make a Wii video game interface for my father with ALS. He currently doesn't have the finger strength to push any buttons.
