Folks,

I'm also building an Open Source ADS1299-based EEG (and ECG, EMG, EOG,
etc.) biosignals shield for the Arduino Due and Mega.

The HackEEG board is also based on the TI ADS1299, bit it takes a slightly
different approach from the (awesome!) OpenBCI device - it's a shield,
rather than an independent board. Up to 4 can be stacked on one Arduino Due
or Mega. On the Arduino Due it can use the USB 2.0 High Speed interface to
communicate, and has a sync cable to enable using multiple stacks - so you
can get 64, 128, or more channels if needed.

The Arduino Due driver uses DMA, so it can read data at the maximum rate of
the ADS1299, up to 16k samples per second, with no data loss, while still
leaving time for other tasks.

 Since it's a shield, you can use it alongside Wifi or Bluetooth shields,
as well as whatever other hardware you want.

Though it uses a different driver, it's otherwise software compatible with
the OpenBCI tools. (That is possible since the tools are open source -
thank you, OpenBCI team!)

I'm on my second board revision; I plan to do a Kickstarter for it in
February. I can post more info on the board if there's interest-
