Hello!
I'm getting errors when trying to build the BrainBay source in Visual
Studio 2010.
Here's what I did:
- Downloaded the zip file of BrainBay from GitHub.
- Opened brainbay.sln with Visual Studio 2010
- Right clicked my project (brainBay) and clicked properties
- Went to Linker > Input > Additional Dependencies and added all of
the static libraries that are in section 3.1.4 Summary of the developer
documentation
- Copied all of the .lib files in BrainBay-master\lib\libmsvc and pasted
them in Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\lib
- Tried to build and got the error "Error 1 error MSB3073: The command
"copy C:\Program Files (x86)\BrainBay-master\src\.\Release\BrainBay.exe
..\bin :VCEnd" exited with code 1. C:\Program
Files(x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft.Cpp\v4.0\Microsoft.CppCommon.targets 113 6
brainBay
I didn't do anything for section 3.3 "Compiler and Linker Options for
Visual Studio" so I assume that is the problem. The problem is I don't
understand section 3.3 at all. How do I input these preprocessor, project,
and link options into my visual studio?
Also, I found one bug in the developer documentation. In section 3.1.1 it
says "vfw.lib", but in the summary of all the libraries (3.1.4) it says
"vfw32.lib". Which is the correct library?
Any help on being able to build the brainbay source would be greatly
appreciated. I'm interested in developing for brainbay, but I need to first
be able to simply build the source code and I'm having problems with that.
Thank you for your help!
