Need help with a experiment it's important...

I need a thin wire(s) going into a sponge creation or above it in its
box-unprefered, and want the small energy voltage going up the thin wire to
be amplified as much as can to like see 7 volts and then see it drop to 2
or 15 since the field in the sponge should hit at it like it triggers
neurons and should make the energy vary like from 2 to 17 and usually in
between, I'd like a switch to turn to make sure I can amp it it it is too
low, maybe build and I pay you? Help.
