No, you will not be able to do this by following the guides on the
website. EEG won't give you either the spatial resolution required or an
acceptable signal/noise ratio from any but the most superficial parts of
the brain. This would be the same with a commercial headset as with an
EEG; well-funded research labs with the best neuroimaging equipment in
the world can't do this. I would recommend picking a (much) easier
problem to become familiar with the basic techniques, such as
controlling the motion of a point in one dimension.
