Need new software?

I was surprised recently to discover that somebody was interested in a
neurofeedback program I wrote fourteen years ago called ElectricGuru.
Here's the program's fourteen-year-old web page:

http://www.realization.org/page/topics/electric_guru.htm

The program was written to work with Jörg Hansmann's first EEG design,
the RS232EEG, and apparently compatibility has been preserved on the
hardware side.

Jörg, if you're still here, hi. :)

I just poked around a bit and to my even greater surprise, I see that
ElectricGuru is still listed under software on the OpenEEG site, and Olimex
recommends it on their page about the EEG-SMT.

This boggles my mind because ElectricGuru was only a rough draft, and it
never even made it as far as a beta test. And (I know I'm repeating
myself) it's fourteen years old. It was written on Windows 95 or 98.

I haven't thought about this stuff in nearly fifteen years, and I'm
completely out of touch with almost everything that has happened in the
neurofeedback world since then.

I'm thinking that maybe I should write new EEG software. What sort,
exactly, I don't know, but it would be a whole better than a
fourteen-year-old rough draft.

Maybe some sort of driver or windows DLL to make it easier for people to
write their own software? I don't know.

I don't even know what inexpensive EEG hardware is available today.

If some kind person wants to fill me in on the last 14 years of
neurofeedback history, maybe this list isn't the right place, so please
feel free to send me an email at editor AT realization DOT org.

Thanks.
