I decided to attempt to build Joe Street's active electrodes that are instructed on the site, but I am confused with the wiring of the electrodes, particularly with the shielding and connecting to the EEG. For connecting the shielding to the electrode is it suggesting that I take another separate piece of wire and wrap that around the shield? The instructions also don't give much detail on connecting these electrodes to an EEG. Would I just connect two electrodes with the coax cables to a two lead microphone cable which would then connect to an XLR? How would I go about doing that? Is there a more direct method? Lastly the instructions recommends to not connect the reference electrode to DRL, but to VGND instead. Would I just connect the electrode to the VGND portion of the circuit and leave the DRL next to it untouched?
