Hi, OpenEEG could be considered a legacy project, but depending on your
use-case it might still be worth to look into. It is still purchasable from
Olimex for example (https://www.olimex.com/Products/EEG/OpenEEG/). Or you
can make your own/customize existing projects, as the PCB designs and
circuit schematics are freely available. That might not be true for other
projects, although there are multiple more modern open-source projects
(e.g. OpenBCI). The fundamentals of the OpenEEG still work, although you
might substitute some legacy components because they might not be available
anymore. But you can still build one if you wish to even today, it is
interesting to learn the fundamentals of how EEG devices work.

I recently translated the documentation of my OpenEEG build project from
2018. The goal of the project was to customize and manufacture an OpenEEG
device based on EEG-SMT by Olimex in school environment, including the PCB
and electrodes.(https://github.com/splithor1zon/EEG-ReMake) I believe my
EEG is also extensible to 6 channels, as I prepared an extension connector
for an extension board. However, I never developed an extension board. Back
then it cost me around 100=E2=82=AC to manufacture the device, so it still =
could be
significantly cheaper than more modern alternatives. EEG-SMT from Olimex
with active electrodes costs around 150=E2=82=AC, so that is also possibili=
ty, but
it's only limited to two channels.

The Eagle software was acquired by Autodesk, but the .sch and .brd files
should still be compatible by modern Autodesk Eagle software.
